CONCEPT A

Terra Sabia

Terra Sabia stretches across the land like a bird in flight, casting its presence over the terrain. The structure unfolds in two wings connected by a subterranean courtyard. The east wing is partially embedded in the terrain, opening to views of the arroyo and the Sea of Cortez, with deep overhangs protecting from the sun, naturally cooled by the earth’s thermal mass. The northern wing rises above ground, accessed through a cast-concrete cylinder leading to an observation platform. Elevated to catch breezes and mountain views, it evokes living in the canopy. Breeze block walls surround gardens, terraces, and parking, balancing light, airflow, and privacy. Earth-toned concrete and custom breeze blocks offer durability and thermal performance.
